This series explores patterns and textures, their relation to each other, and how they inform one another. I find it fascinating how different levels of magnification or other techniques in photography can bring forth new and unexpected textures or reveal underlying patterns. I liken this process to painting. As Gerhard Richter says, "pictures are not what is represented, but its appearance".
